My name is Jana Zeineddine, and I am a Lebanese medical graduate from the American University of Beirut. I am currently completing the second year of my post-doctoral research fellowship at Mass General Hospital (Colorectal Surgery). I hope to specialize in General Surgery (Current match 2026 applicant) and have a deep interest in social determinants of healthcare and crisis response policies.

Where it all started
I began my artistic journey in portrait art, where I developed a deep appreciation for detail and hyperrealism (sample shown below). During my third year at medical school, I started using my skills to create medical illustrations. Since then, I have illustrated one complete textbook, illustrated multiple individual textbook chapters, and created artwork for more than fifteen peer-reviewed publications.
I now specialize in hyperrealistic anatomical and surgical illustrations, including depictions of novel surgical techniques. My work aims to simplify complexity, making surgical concepts more intuitive and accessible through art.
